Paternity
An unwed father can be required to pay child support, even if he does not have custody or visitation rights. He may be able to obtain those rights, but the court must agree that this would be in the "best interest of the child".
Calabrese Associates, P.C. represents mothers and fathers in paternity actions. Once paternity has been established, we can seek to obtain an order for child support, custody or visitation rights.
Orders of Protection
No person should have to stay in an abusive relationship or feel intimidated, threatened or harassed in any relationship. If you want an Order of Protection, our firm can help you obtain an emergency or interim order, and we can represent you in the plenary hearing regarding the issuance of the final order.
We can also represent you in the plenary hearing if you have been falsely accused of domestic violence.
In either case, our firm will present evidence to support your assertions. We will work to protect your rights at all stages of the legal process.
Family Law Appeals
Our firm has experience with family law appeals involving child custody, visitation, child relocations and other matters. Our attorneys are knowledgeable in the law, attentive to detail, and persuasive legal writers. We will represent you with skill and determination.
Enforcement of Orders
If your spouse is refusing to comply with an existing family order covering support, custody, visitation, or property division, our firm can take action to enforce that order. If the spouse continues to ignore a support order, we can obtain a garnishment to collect past due and future support payments.
Our firm also defends clients against enforcement actions. If your inability to comply with an order is the result of a job layoff, disability or other legitimate reason, the court is unlikely to hold you in contempt.
Whatever your situation, you need effective representation from an experienced lawyer.
